In honor of National Animal Care & Control Appreciation Week, we’re shining a light on Medway's Officers Erin Mallette, Animal Control Officer and Kelly Ward, Deputy Animal Control Officer  and mutual aid partners who keep our community safe.

Their work doesn't follow a 9-to-5 schedule; they are on call 24/7, 365 days a year. Whether it’s a cold winter morning or a late-night emergency, these officers are behind the scenes balancing public safety with animal welfare. From rescuing pets in peril to supporting families during their hardest moments, they act as educators, advocates, and first responders all at once.
