The Board of Appeals is empowered by MGL 40A and 40B to hear and decide Appeals and Petitions for Variances, Findings, Special Permits, and Comprehensive Permits. Public hearings are normally scheduled for the first and third Wednesday of each month. The Board consists of five permanent members and two associate members, each appointed by the Select Board for a three-year term.

APPLICANTS TO THE TOWN'S BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS HAVE BEEN TARGETED WITH FRAUDULENT EMAILS AND INVOICES FROM SCAMMERS POSING AS TOWN STAFF MEMBERS. THESE EMAILS OFTEN INCLUDE THE TOWN'S NAME AND LOGO, REFERENCE AN EXISTING PROPERTY OR DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL, AND REQUEST PAYMENT VIA WIRE-TRANSFER OR OTHER ELECTRONIC MEANS.

- RESPOND TO THE EMAIL
- CLICK ANY OF THE LINKS CONTAINED WITHIN THE EMAIL, OR
- SEND MONEY TO THE REQUESTER

- The Zoning Board of Appeals only accepts checks payable to the Town of Medway; applicants will never be instructed to remit payment through a wire transfer or any electronic means
- Any emails from the Town of Medway will come from the official @medwayma.gov email domain
