Secretary of the Commonwealth William F. Galvin directs a change to primary ballot colors.

Starting September 1, 2026, the color of ballots shall be:

Official Democratic Primary Ballot - BLUE

Official Democratic Early/Absentee Primary Ballot - LIGHT BLUE

Official Republican Primary Ballot - PINK

Official Republican Early/Absentee Primary Ballot - SALMON

Official State Election Ballot - WHITE

Official Early/Absentee State Election Ballot - YELLOW

G.L.c. 53.33 requires that primary ballots for each party be of different colors.
