The Medway DPW asks residents to properly dispose of grass clippings and to use slow-release and phosphorus-free fertilizers to help keep our waters clean! Excess fertilizer can run off your lawn into surrounding wetlands and water bodies. Too much fertilizer results in algae blooms and weak growth in local rivers, ponds, and lakes. Grass clippings should be composted or brought to the Recycling Center (with a valid sticker). We ask that residents ensure they aren't left on streets, sidewalks, or in stormwater detention basins.
