Medway Fire Department Welcomes Six New Firefighters and Announces Officer Promotion

Today, Town Clerk Stefany Ohannesian officially swore in six new firefighters and a new Lieutenant!

The ceremony was attended by Chief Michael Fasolino, Deputy Chiefs Paul Molla and Tom Irwin, Town Manager Michael Boynton, alongside fellow firefighters, family, and friends.

Please join us in congratulating our newest team members: Caitlyn Gorman, Kady Rounds, Austin Nunn, Aidan Padula, Kelton Bracket, Joe Townsend, and Lt. Mike Wainwright.

Meet Our New Firefighters & Officers:

Lt. Mike Wainwright (Promoted to Lieutenant) A Millis native with 25 years of service, Lt. Wainwright spent 20 years with the Town of Wrentham, rising to Captain. He holds two master’s degrees, is a licensed electrician, and serves as a Massachusetts Firefighting Academy instructor.

Caitlyn Gorman A true hometown success story! Raised in Medway, Caitlyn graduated from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School and Framingham State University. She began her career as a Medway call firefighter, is dedicated to lifelong learning, and will begin MassBay's paramedic program this fall.
Kady Rounds Joining us from Rhode Island, Kady brings two decades of fire service experience. She is deeply committed to community-focused public service and building her career here in Medway.
Austin Nunn Raised in nearby Bellingham, Austin previously served as an on-call firefighter in Northbridge. Newly married, he currently serves as an EMT and will begin MassBay’s paramedic program this fall.
Aidan Padula Originally from Franklin, Aidan has found a home here in Medway. When he’s not serving the town, he performs in a regional band. Aidan will also enter MassBay’s paramedic program this fall.
Kelton "KB" Bracket Joining Medway via College Park, Georgia, KB played college football for UMass Amherst and the University of Alabama at Birmingham before beginning his firefighting career. He enters MassBay’s paramedic program this September.
Joe Townsend Joe brings 15 years of experience from the MA Department of Fire Services, where he served as Code Compliance Officer. The 2023 Firefighter of the Year, Joe will graduate as a paramedic from MassNEXUS / MMTC in West Bridgewater this fall.
