The Town of Medway is pleased to announce that Direct Energy Services (“Direct Energy”) has been
selected as the supplier for its Community Choice Power Supply Program (“Program”). This Program is a
municipal aggregation which enables local government to combine the purchasing power of its residents
and businesses to provide them with an alternative to Eversource Basic Service (M.G.L. c. 164, § 134). This
Program only affects the supply portion of your monthly bill. It will not affect the delivery portion of your
monthly bill. Eversource will continue to deliver your electricity but Medway has chosen the supplier for
the Program. Direct Energy will provide electric power supply for all consumers currently on Basic Service
in Medway.

Following the approval of Article 23 at Town Meeting in May 2016, the Town of Medway developed and
published its Aggregation Plan (“Plan”) in compliance with Massachusetts law regarding municipal
aggregation of electric consumers (M.G.L. c. 164, § 134). The Select Board most recently approved the
Plan in August 2023, and a power supply agreement was executed this past December to take effect
March 2025.

LOOK FOR A MAILING WITH THE TOWN SEAL that contains information about the Program. Those on
Eversource Basic Service should receive an envelope with a Consumer Notification Letter and Opt-Out
Reply Card. Those already enrolled with a third-party supplier should receive an informational postcard.

BASIC SERVICE CONSUMERS do not need to take any action to participate. You will be AUTOMATICALLY
enrolled. The aggregation rate is fixed at $0.12140 per kWh for all rate classes for 18 months (March 2025
to September 2026). This product meets MA renewable energy requirements.

WATCH YOUR EVERSOURCE BILL FOR FURTHER NOTIFICATION of the Program.

• Your March 2025 bill will state that you are being switched to Medway’s Program
• Your April 2025 bill will show Medway’s supplier and aggregation rate under “Supplier Services”

IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE you must OPT-OUT by signing and returning the Opt-Out Reply
Card OR visit colonialpowergroup.com/medway, click the OPT-OUT button and follow the instructions
specified OR call Direct Energy at (866) 968-8065. There is NO CHARGE TO OPT-OUT of the Program and
return to Eversource Basic Service.

TO CHOOSE A PRODUCT WITH 100% NEW ENGLAND RENEWABLE ENERGY visit colonialpowergroup.com/medway or you may call Direct Energy at (866) 968-8065 and ask to be enrolled in Medway’s Optional Product. Medway’s Optional Product provides 100% MA Class I RECs achieved by purchasing 73% additional Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) above the state’s current requirement for these
renewables. This product is being offered at $0.15130 per kWh for 18 months (March 2025 to September
2026).

IF YOU HAVE A THIRD PARTY SUPPLIER AND WISH TO JOIN THIS PROGRAM you may OPT-IN at colonialpowergroup.com/medway OR call Direct Energy at (866) 968-8065 and ask to be enrolled. If you are currently contracted with your own supplier, you should confirm with them that you will not incur any early termination fees or penalties for leaving their supply.

Basic Service rates change twice a year or more, depending on rate class. As a result, the aggregation rate
may not always be lower than the Basic Service rate. The goal of the aggregation is to deliver savings over
the life of the Program against Eversource Basic Service. However, future savings cannot be guaranteed.
