Last night, Adam French of Boy Scout Troop 367 appeared before the Select Board during its meeting as part of his work toward the Communication Merit Badge. One of the badge requirements includes observing how differing points of view are expressed on community issues. Below are Adam’s reflections, shared in his own words:
"Good evening,
My name is Adam French, and I am a second-class Scout with Troop 367 here in Medway. Thank you for allowing me to speak tonight.
I am attending this meeting as part of my work on the Communication Merit Badge, which requires me to observe how different points of view are shared on community issues. I appreciate being able to see how local government works and how residents and board members respectfully express their opinions.
I want to thank the Select Board for the time and effort you put into serving our town. Meetings like this help students like me understand the importance of listening, clear communication, and civic responsibility.
Thank you for allowingme to participate and learn from this experience."
