Last night, the Select Board proudly recognized the Medway High School Cheerleading Team for their outstanding achievement in winning the New England Regional Championship. Coached by Adrienne Hunter and Stephanie Rasmussen, the 15-member squad had an exceptional season, never placing lower than second in any of their 16 competitions. Led by captains Chloe Giallonardo, Jillian Bartel, and Adelle McLaughlin, this young team, remarkably, with no graduating seniors, went undefeated in all invitational meets. They finished second at the State Championship, narrowly behind Wilmington, but came back stronger than ever to claim the New England title, this time beating Wilmington for the win!
