The Historical Commission Unveils Two New Comemorative Signs: Thayer House & Village Church

Unveiling Medway’s History! 📜🏠

The Historical Commission is proud to unveil two new commemorative signs at the Thayer House (2B Oak Street) and the Village Church (170 Village Street). These signs offer a window into our past, featuring historic photos and detailed research by commission members Annmarie Fontecchio and Isabel Nulter.

This project was a true community effort! A huge thank you to:

  • The Medway Historical Society for providing the historic photographs.

  • Ben Phillips for the beautiful design work.

  • Pete Pelletier, Nolan Lynch, and the DPW for the professional installation.

  • The Select Board for their ongoing support.

Funded by the Community Preservation Act (CPA), these signs are part of an ongoing initiative to celebrate Medway’s heritage. We hope you enjoy discovering these stories on your next stroll through town!
