How do I obtain a marriage license?

Persons wishing to marry in Massachusetts must file their intentions to marry with any Massachusetts City or Town Clerk in person (except for in cases where one person is in the military or incarcerated) at least three days before the ceremony, as there is a three day wait period before the license can be issued (please keep weekends and holidays in mind). In Medway, the cost of filing marriage intentions is $30.00 and $10.00 for a certified copy.  The license is valid for sixty days, and may be used for a ceremony conducted in any Massachusetts city or town. If you would like to utilize a Justice of the Peace listed below there is an additional fee for performing the ceremony.

The Town of Medway has two active Justices of the Peace:

Stefany Ohannesian, Town Clerk

Morgan Harris, Assistant Town Clerk
