The Medway School Committee and Committee Chair Diane Borgatti hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the newly renovated McGovern Elementary School front entrance on Thursday, September 7th.
The new configuration includes video surveillance and allows the front office staff to manage guest access to the building. In addition, the handicapped access ramp now leads directly into the main entrance of the building.
Superintendent Armand Pires expressed his gratitude for the support of the Board of Selectmen and the Finance Committee for their support of this project. “This project has improved security and safety for our students, our staff, and our guests and we are very pleased to be able to educate and nurture our youngest students in the comfort of state of the art security.”
