We have received some resident concerns about a “Sidewalk Closed” sign that has been near the gas work being done near Choate Park.  The gas company site inspector informs us that they are required to display the sign near their worksite.  It has been placed very near the worksite and while the sign is not at a crosswalk it is within sight of the traffic officer on duty who will stop traffic to allow pedestrians to cross safely.

Next week work will continue in the east bound lane travelling west up the hill toward Tri-Valley Commons.  Lane closures should be minimal.
