On Saturday, November 11th, the Medway Historical Society and the 13th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Honor Guard executed a Civil War re-enactment of a twenty-one gun salute to consecrate the headstones of six Civil War Veterans that were recently identified in a mass grave. Henry Dain, Egbert Hixon, Albert Houghton, Lewis Miller, George Read, and John Treen and the other 65 Civil War Veterans interred in Oakland Cemetery were honored this year on Veterans Day.
